Questions about the DJI Avata 2 case
- Which case size for the DJI Avata 2?
- On its own, the DJI Avata 2 fits in the M case (430 × 290 × 176 mm inside), at €239 for case and foam, delivery included. Its pocket is 66 mm deep in 123 mm foam. With DJI Goggles 3: that needs the L (€329).
- How much clearance does the foam leave around the DJI Avata 2?
- 3.5 mm per side. The dimensions agree between the manufacturer’s sheet and another source; they become “verified” after our own measurement.
- Does the case for the DJI Avata 2 fit as cabin baggage?
- By dimensions: the M case measures 46.2 × 35.5 × 19.2 cm overall, handle and latches included. It fits the 55 × 40 × 23 cm cabin size, a reference size, but not the 55 × 35 × 25 cm size, another reference size. Acceptance also depends on weight, your ticket and your airline’s rules.
- What about the DJI Avata 2’s batteries on a plane?
- These pointers concern spare rechargeable lithium-ion batteries for cameras and drones, not power banks. Keep them in the cabin, each with its contacts protected. Up to 100 Wh per battery, check the airline’s conditions. Above 100 Wh and up to 160 Wh, its prior approval is required. In the United States, the FAA limits this range to two spares per person. For every flight, also check the total number allowed, whatever the batteries’ energy. Above 160 Wh, these batteries are not accepted in ordinary passenger baggage.
- What if my DJI Avata 2 has accessories mounted?
- The layout follows the DJI Avata 2’s dimensions, stored as shown on this page. A cage, a handle or a filter changes the footprint: add them in the configurator, or enter your own measurements, and the pocket is recalculated.
