Choosing the right case
For the drone alone, from the catalogue dimensions, the calculation suggests the S for a DJI Mini 4 Pro, the M for an Air 3S and the L for a Mavic 4 Pro. Then add the remote, the batteries and the other accessories to recalculate your full kit. These are plan pointers, not a physical fit test.
Check the stored state on the product page and what the dimensions leave out: propellers, gimbal guard or other accessories. Measure the drone as it will actually be stored. Protect the contacts of spare batteries separately; a foam pocket does not replace that preparation.
Questions about drone cases
Can my drone travel in the cabin?
Check with the airline the size, weight, allowance and carriage conditions for your gear. Spare lithium-ion batteries stay in the cabin with each set of contacts protected; check their energy and the permitted number, even up to 100 Wh. The flying guide covers these points and their sources.
Should I remove the propellers?
It depends on the model and the chosen position. Check the exclusions on its product page and confirm the measurements with the propellers in their storage position if you keep them on. Add the spare propellers to the list of items to store.
And FPV goggles?
Add their reference, such as the DJI Goggles 3, then check the storage position shown. The drone, goggles, controllers and batteries must all be in the plan to choose the kit’s size.
How many batteries should I plan for?
Add the number you carry and check their place in the plan. For a flight, first confirm the quantity and energy limits with the airline; room in the foam is not permission to carry them.
