Choosing the right case

List the wireless mic charging case, the recorder, the microphones and the cables you carry. A compact wireless kit and a shotgun mic do not take up the same space: mic length and accessory space set the size along with the rest of the kit.

For a shotgun mic, choose the storage position: with its shock mount and windshield, or separately. Measure each assembly in that position and plan separate pockets for the parts you take off.

Questions about audio cases

Do the wireless transmitters stay in their charging case?

Yes: we cut the shape of the case (DJI Mic 2, RØDE Wireless PRO…), with the transmitters and receiver inside.

And the windshield?

It is stored separately, in a free compartment: add it as a custom item with its measurements.

Can I store a boom pole?

Measure its collapsed length and full footprint, then add it as a custom item. The case’s inside length is not enough: you also need foam around the pocket and room for the rest of the kit. If no suggested plan works, carry it separately.

Is there room for XLR cables?

Yes, in the cable pouch or in a free compartment, which the configurator suggests wherever foam is left.
