- Which case size for the DJI Mini 3?
- On its own, the DJI Mini 3 fits in the S case (300 × 227 × 132 mm inside), at €189 for case and foam, delivery included. Its pocket is 70 mm deep in 102 mm foam.
- How much clearance does the foam leave around the DJI Mini 3?
- 3.5 mm per side. The dimensions agree between the manufacturer’s sheet and another source; they become “verified” after our own measurement.
- Does the case for the DJI Mini 3 fit as cabin baggage?
- By dimensions: the S case measures 34 × 29.5 × 15 cm overall, handle and latches included. It fits the 55 × 40 × 23 cm cabin size, a reference size, and the 55 × 35 × 25 cm size. Acceptance also depends on weight, your ticket and your airline’s rules.
- What about the DJI Mini 3’s batteries on a plane?
- These pointers concern spare rechargeable lithium-ion batteries for cameras and drones, not power banks. Keep them in the cabin, each with its contacts protected. Up to 100 Wh per battery, check the airline’s conditions. Above 100 Wh and up to 160 Wh, its prior approval is required. In the United States, the FAA limits this range to two spares per person. For every flight, also check the total number allowed, whatever the batteries’ energy. Above 160 Wh, these batteries are not accepted in ordinary passenger baggage.
